Who we are

Velomo is built by Nick Hartjes, a Dutch software developer and road cyclist. One person, one company, no investors, no marketing team. The design and editorial of the site come from the same person who writes the code — and who also uses the shop comparison daily to buy parts.

Why Velomo exists

Cyclists looking to replace a part typically open 4 to 6 browser tabs to compare prices. Velomo exists to replace those tabs with one page you trust more than the tabs — through honest price history, transparent ranking, and consistently naming what we don’t know.

What we deliberately don’t do

No crossed-out list prices.
No countdown discount timers.
No "X people watching now" without real data.
No JavaScript-only prices that AI search engines and SEO crawlers can't read.
No ranking determined by commission.
